Power crews working in the aftermath of February 2014 Ice Storm in Montgomery County.

It seems winter may be finally losing its grip on the Philadelphia area. As we get closer to spring and the snow continues to melt, it is becoming evident that additional winter storm clean-up is needed. That’s where Liberty’s Lutheran Disaster Response-Eastern PA (LDR-EPA) steps in.

Do you want to help people in need?

LDR-EPA is recruiting 15 volunteers to support chainsaw cutting teams on properties in Montgomery and Chester Counties on April 5, 2014. We will be moving and stacking logs and other yard debris.

  • Volunteers should be able to carry at least 20 lbs and be prepared to walk in wet and uneven ground.
  • Volunteers should also have access to a car in order to travel from location to location throughout the day.
  • Volunteers should be at least 18-years old, however  volunteers ages 12 to 17 are welcome if accompanied by an adult chaperone. Chaperones should only be responsible for at most two youth ages 12 to 17.
