Helping Hands Day 2015
Helping Hands Day 2015

The spirit of community service was in full swing for Helping Hands Day 2015. Liberty’s Lutheran Congregational Services coordinated the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod’s April 25 annual event, which involved more than 70 youth volunteers in sixth through twelfth grades from ten congregations.

PrintAmong the numerous opportunities – young people said “Yes to Service” by spending time sorting and packing summer camp supplies for Liberty’s BOOST summer camp program, others gathered for the day at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Conshohocken sorting donations for Liberty’s refugee resettlement program.

When the day’s activities concluded, young people and adults gathered at the Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Philadelphia for worship and to reflect on the day’s events.

An amazing day to serve God and our neighbors!
