We invite you to join us for the 6th annual Oktoberfest celebration to benefit Liberty’s Lutheran Disaster Response-Eastern PA program, Saturday, September 20, 12pm-6pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Glenside.
LDR-EPA’s disaster preparedness education touches thousands of lives and has been instrumental in the long-term recovery efforts that continue from Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee in 2011. The success of the program depends on the generosity of the community.
Oktoberfest features delicious German food and beers, including craft beer from members of the St. Paul’s congregation, traditional German dancing led by GTV Almrausch, delightful music by St. Paul’s house band and an accordion matador Don Bitterlich, as well as fun children’s activities and a silent auction.
Tickets are $25 each and include one beer, food, and a free mug for adults. Children’s tickets for ages 4 and above are also $25 and include food, soft drink and unlimited rides. Those children under age 4 may purchase a wristband for rides at $15 and food on a per item basis. Tickets are available by calling 215-884-3005 or www.stpaulsglenside.org
Hundreds of people attend the festive event each year. In fact, over the last six years, Oktoberfest has raised more than $80,000 for Lutheran Disaster Response-Eastern PA, providing valuable assistance to individuals and families affected by natural and man-made disasters. A special thanks to St. Paul’s for once again serving as the host and organizer for this amazing event.
Please support Liberty’s LDR-EPA with food, fun, and festivities on September 20th.
