Tickets for those ages 12-20 are 10 dollars and ages 2-11 are five dollars. Additional food and beverages, including German and microbrew beers will be available for purchase.
Eight homebrew teams will compete in a homebrewed beer contest. Beer will be available for tasting with a suggested donation. Entertainment will include live German music and dancing as well as activities for kids such as a hay ride and a moon bounce.
Soon after Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee affected our area in 2012 the Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) Program of Lutheran Congregational Services, a service of Liberty Lutheran, organized teams of volunteers who worked to restore the homes of those who had been affected. Flooding destroyed clothing, furniture, keepsakes and other items. Entire rooms of drywall, paneling, insulation, carpeting and in some cases ceilings, had to be taken out. Although about a year has passed, there are still individuals and families with significant unmet needs. LDR volunteers are leading the long term recovery effort in ten counties in Northeastern Pa., as well as Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.
