On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Lutheran Congregational Services joined hands with churches across the region for a powerful God’s Work. Our Hands. day—and together, we made history!
The Impact:
  • 200 emergency buckets collected and assembled
  • 300 hygiene kits packed with care
  • 30 dedicated volunteers lending their time and talents
These life-sustaining supplies will provide help and hope to those impacted by disaster.
A heartfelt thank you to all the congregations who came together to make this incredible effort possible, including:
Christ Lutheran (Oreland) • Emmanuels Lutheran (Bath) • Christ Lutheran (Allentown) • St. John’s Nazareth • St. John UCC • St. Peter’s (Allentown) • Grace Lutheran (Gouldsboro) • Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley • St. John’s (Whitehall) • University Lutheran Seminary • Jordan Lutheran (Orefield) …and more!
One volunteer captured the spirit of the day perfectly:
“We are a small church and couldn’t do something like this on our own, so we really like this kind of event.”
— Kristin Cuningham, Grace Lutheran, Gouldsboro
Together, we proved that when we join our hearts and hands, there’s no limit to the good we can do.
