Liberty Lutheran Donor Policy and Bill of Rights

Liberty Lutheran values and respects your right to privacy and handles any information you provide us with care. The only personal data we gather from you is that which you voluntarily provide. United States Tax Laws require Liberty Lutheran to keep contact information and contribution records of donors on file.

Liberty Lutheran WILL NOT sell, trade, rent or share names (unless released for publication), email and postal addresses, or telephone numbers of our donors. We only use donor contact information for the following purposes:

  • To distribute receipts for donations
  • To thank donors for donations
  • To inform donors about upcoming activities and share information about the agency
  • For internal analysis and recordkeeping
  • For reporting to State and Federal agencies as required
  • To contact donors about changes to this policy

Financial Information:

All access to donor financial information is strictly limited to professional staff in the Advancement Office. Online donations are processed through secure sites. Liberty Lutheran does not store, nor do we have access to, personal credit card information, bank account information, or other account data sent using secured online processing services.

Mail Solicitation Policy:

Any person or organization that makes a contribution to Liberty Lutheran or any of its services will be considered a donor under this policy. Liberty Lutheran and all donors are bound by the terms of this policy. By using our website or responding to mail solicitations and providing this information to us, you consent to our collection, use and storage of your information in the manner described above. Liberty Lutheran publishes donor names in agency publications, including event invitations and the annual report, unless a donor asks that his/her name not be listed.
